Went to the gym yesterday but was careful not to do leg work, and that paid off -- run felt great. Sore muscles from all the core work and leg work, haha, but that didn't impact anything.
The first run of the new decade -- 4.2 miles from the YMCA. I felt out of breath early on, I really need to keep up running twice a week to stay in shape. That's my new year's resolution.
We put the kids in extra early -- lights off at 7.45 pm -- so we had a longer evening. Nora has a cold so she needs the sleep, the dudes really also. Reset my watch at the very end, the 51 minutes is an estimate.
I had a cold for the last few days, and I skipped my usual YMCA run on Saturday (also because of Sinterklaas later that day). Had visitors at work today and the kids were quite noisy, so a run was a great distraction. No watch.
First run with long pants for this season -- it was around freezing and a bit windy. Wasn't too bad but the wind made for a slow run. Clarendon Circle is now repaved and most lanes are open, it's a lot better to cross for pedestrians now.
