Daily Life

At my parents (=Steden & Ridders)

W'll play Steden & Ridders tonight; not like we have any choice ;) Teacher of the course Formele Methoden wrote me and said it would be fine if I want to do the course myself, starting Monday. Very nice!

Ettie's internship report online

Ettie finished her internship a little while ago, and here internship report is ready. On this page you can read more about it and download a .PDF file. A very interesting read!

Fixed my headphones

The big headphones I have at work were broken; in one of the sides the sound disappeared when I moved my head. At the end of the afternoon I repaired them. Wasn't sure if I would be able to. One of the nice things about working in a company like Chess is that there is always equipment to solder available.

Next thing to be fixed is our computer monitor at home (the one from the Windows PC). It' a good thing that I obtained it with a three year's garantuee.

Barend & Van Dorp is back

Ah, very nice to see Barend & Van Dorp back on TV... I really like their show.

Well... it's done. Not so bad as I expected, although the real test will come in about an hour.

If it were done...

If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well
It were done quickly.

As Shakespeare wrote: let's get it over with.

Dinner with Mieke

My mother came for dinner, she had a course in Haarlem. It's a course on emergy-situations that she takes for her school, this afternoon she has been a firefighter.

She brought 2 old computers, a 486 and a Pentium. That means a lot of fun for me :) I'll be installing them tonight. Well... let's first see if they work at all.

For a walk

Went for a small walk and the library-- the weather isn't very nice. Took a book on the history of the States -- Jonathan had a book about it and it looked interesting.

Back home

Just brought "the Americans" to their train.

Water OK

The water works again; just on time.
