Drop at work
Today I brought some drop to my work.
"Drop" is Dutch for liquorice, and it's quite popular in the Netherlands, with many different flavors.
The reaction of my colleagues was mixed. Most of them were very polite, and there were three people who actually enjoyed it (I was one of them).

Heb jij geluk dat er niet veel liefhebbers zijn voor je Hollandse drop, dan heb je er meer voor jezelf!
(en persoonlijk vind ik het ook 'een smaak waaraan men moet wennen'...)

Ik moet zeggen dat ik ook liever taart voor het ontbijt heb dan drop bij de koffie.
(Je kunt je zoon zeggen dat taart bij het ontbijt alleen voor jarige vaders is)
