Post 5k run

Today was my first maintenance run after Sunday's 5km race.

Sunday afternoon I felt pretty tired. Not exhausted, but more tired than after the 8 miles run I did the week before. I was paying the price for the extra speed. Still, it wasn't a bad feeling; I'm rather proud of my time! On Monday I had muscle pain, mainly in my quads and a little bit in my shins. Occasionally I may get sore knees, ankles or feet, but I haven't had muscle pain in a very long time, only when I just started running. I guess I was using a lot more muscle power than usual. On Tuesday most of the muscle pain had gone, but I did feel my ankles a little bit, and I felt a bit stiff in my legs.

Anyway, enough about the aftershock of my first race. Today I went out for a run and it felt great. The first 20% I did feel me left knee a bit weird above kneecap, but that disappeared when I got warmed up.

My watch died. Or rather, I think the batteries are empty. Not surprising because I've had it for many years, and never changed the battery yet. Sasha gave it to me once as a present. I need to find a place to get a new battery.
