In Leeuwarden

Life from Leeuwarden, there is a couple of internet computers here. We're in an interesting place, it called Wolweze, and it's a student organisation's bar/disco. The name means 'Being Well', in Frisian. It's Leeuwarden after all.

The tournament is going quite well, there are 20 people playing and we're ahead of schedule. We started Steden & Ridders, the last game, at 13:15 so we should be done early. I'm here with Martijn, it's cosy. Because we have done this kind of tournament so often everything goes smooth and the people are very friendly. Interesting enough there are many people from other provinces, I expected a lot of Frisians but there are people from The Hague, Rotterdam, all over!

My parents are also playing, but unfortunately the first game results were not very good, they're 15th and 16th after 2 rounds. Let's just hope they'll perform better in the last one...

In a few weeks (September 29th) there'll be a tournament in Haarlem also. Next to being an obvious improvement considering traveling time it's also a very nice idea to know that it will be very busy: there are about 50 applications already. For more information or applying -be quick- look at 999 Games' website.
