Running in the heat
Today was probably the hottest day of the year. When I came back it was still 92 Fahrenheit (33 Celcius). I started a bit later than usual to escape the worst heat, and it was cloudy during the run.
The run felt pretty good. I was getting tired in the last mile, running back from the Duke library to the traffic lights on Erwin and LaSalle. I didn't see any other runners, probably because of the heat.
For the first time I measured how long I was outside: 49 minutes. This is from the moment I left to when I came back at 7:37 pm, and it includes the warm-up, the run itself and the cooling down. I ran about 3.4 miles.
