Starbucks in Amsterdam
Good news for Dutch Starbucks fans: the company will open its first branch at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam this summer.
The "coffee giant" will just open a single branch for now, which is only accessible for airport passengers who have gone through customs. Starbucks has not mentioned any future expansions yet.

Starbucks is a coffeeshop, and government is slowly putting pressure on coffeeshops.
Most coffeeshops will disappear when smoking in bars, restaurants, cafes etc will be forbidden.

but they are working on an exception for the coffeeshops so there might be a future for american 'coffee' (or how they call the stuff these days) over here :) especially with the customs on strike

Elke, thanks a lot for letting me know. I have had some problem with the website the last few days.
I think the main reason was that the hard drive of the server was getting full. I've cleaned that up, and things should be better now.
Every time there is a major problem, my father will restart the machine (which is located in their home). However, the database server does not automatically start up when the machine is restarted. I hope to change that so the database server gets started automatically.

I was going through Schilpol Airport in Janauary, thanks to this site, I was able to enjoy my coffee. Please don't think I don't enjoy coffee at other coffee shops, but you have to admit, they know their beans and they also make sure you get the same cup of coffee in Chicago that you get in Singapore or in my case in Amsterdam. Love em all.
