Sycamore Trail in Umstead Park
/9: This time I started at the main entrance of the park, of highway 70. There was a visitor center with a small museum.
/9: A little further on the road was the picknick area, from where the trails started.
/9: The start of the trail. The Sycamore trail is a little over 7 miles.
/9: The creeks on this side of the park were prettier than on the Reedy Creek side.
/9: After a while the trail left the woods for a few minutes and I saw a beautiful field.
/9: Then there was a part of the woods with trees that were green. Surprisingly, because in the rest of the woods the trees had no leaves.
/9: The bridge is gone!
/9: There it is.
/9: A tree with a lot of fungus
