A visit to Szolnok, Hungary in December 2006

1/19: In the bus from Plovdiv to Sofia. We had the 9.30 am bus, which would give us plenty of time at the airport in Sofia.

12/19: The next day Daniel, Erika and Martijn brought us to the trainstation in Szolnok. Szolnok's architecture reminded me a lot of Bulgaria.

15/19: A large street in Szolnok. It's conveniently close to Daniel and Erika's apartment but it's just far enough so that it doesn't cause any noise.

A bus.

17/19: Szolnok's trainstation.

18/19: We were a little bit late at the trainstation so Daniel went in line to buy tickets, while I went to the train. It turned out we did have enough time after all so we had time so say goodbye on the platform. The plan was for Daniel, Erika and Martijn to come to Budapest the next day to meet us, but due to illness that didn't work out. Still, it was very good to see the three of them again and to see Daniel and Erika's new house in person.

Buying tickets.

19/19: And on our way to Budapest! We noticed that the signs in the train were translated in many languages, but not in English
