El Morro
/11: El Morro, with a kite-contest going on.
/11: Seeing this fort at the sea, protecting the harbor, made me realize even more that Puerto Rico is an island, that needed protection from foreign enemies and pirates
/11: On the right-hand side below is the historical graveyard of San Juan.
/11: The road to the fort. The sun was shining very strongly
/11: The towers of the fort are very typical
/11: On top of the fort
/11: View over the ocean from the fort.
/11: The entrance to the harbor that El Morro is protecting.
/11: Just we were done looking around in the fort, we saw rain clouds coming closer. We decided to leave and find some shelter in the city before the rain started
/11: Rain coming closer. We were really in a hurry to find a roof...
/11: We found shelter just on time in a nice, tropical bar with a lot of cocktails, high ceilings and nice music. We had a beer together. Jaap & Mieke called us there.
