The Office, season 1
Sunday we rented the first season of "The Office" on DVD.
I've seen this British TV show a couple of times in the Netherlands, and the other day we saw Ricky Gervais, the main actor, in Saturday Night Live. Sasha had never seen it and I loved to watch it, so we rented the DVD and saw all episodes of the first season in one lazy evening. Hilarious!
The humor is different than in many other series or movies, but it's really funny and we loved it. The DVD came with a long interview with the creators of the series ("only geeks watch the DVD bonus material") and a few deleted scenes, which was nice.

Hier gaat alles zijn gangetje bij Chess...
Leuk te zien dat je The Office hebt gekeken. Ik vind het een briljante serie, die soms pijnlijk herkenbaar is. Het lijkt of het allemaal real life is, maar ik heb gelezen dat elke zin is uitgewerkt. Fantastisch camerawerk ook, vooral die shot van de kopieersorteerder.
Met de kerst nog de speciale kerstspecial van twee lange delen gezien. Ook gewéldig!
Daarin gaan ze een soort 'nazorg' doen vanuit de omroep. Even terug om te kijken hoe het nu vergaan is met Wernham Hogg en zijn medewerkers na het succes van de documentaire. Ik zal niks verklappen, want je moet hem zeker zien.

If you think the first series is funny then you definitely have to get the second series, I personally find that series more enjoyable. There is also a DVD entitled 'The Christmas Special' which a two-part conclusion to The Office!

Ik hoorde volgens mij laatst op tv dat deze serie laatst een of andere prijs gewonnen heeft in de categorie beste comedy serie ooit (eindigde dus boven grote serie als Friends en Sex and the city...)Dat vond ik toch wel frapant maar het is idd erg leuk om naar te kijken.
