Steam train
All day long there has been a steam train crossing the Spaarne. NedTrain, a train maintance company near the Haarlem station exists 160 years and celebrates it today.
It reminds me of the steam train in Opperdoes, the village where I was born. We used to play a lot around the tracks of this (touristic) train.

putting all kind of stuff on the tracks, coins/dice/etc, they all were very flat after the train passed :)

Especially 5 cent coins... too bad I don't have any of those flat ones left.
A thing I somehow enjoyed also was walking on the (very short) trainbridge near our house. It was a scary thought that the train would cross the water on the same bridge as you were walking on.

last week i was on the steamtrain from medemblik to hoorn. Very nice. I made a picture of our old house in Opperdoes. After the museum in Hoorn we went by train to Enkhuizen and then by boat back to Medemblik, the historical triangle...
