My birthday

Today is my birthday! Well, in the Netherlands it is, here in D.C. it's still November 9th.

Tomorrow will be my first working day and I'm really looking forward to it. Tomorrow evening Sasha and I will go out and celebrate.

Ettie will receive her propedeuse diploma today (on November 10th, that is).

In the Netherlands your birthday is a rainy one, with a low temperature, leaves falling from the trees, hot chocolate and pepernoten. Some wheather forecast tells me the sky in Washington is clear and the sun is shining, just like the pictures show us. No, I do not envy you. It is, for example, nice to be at work, estimating hours for the very same RFCs I handled about a year ago. I don't know the English word for "sleur" but I love it, like I said, I don't envy you ;-)

Congrats Guus! Both with your birthday and with your arrival in beautiful blue sky Washington. Looks real good, but I won't believe that you're actually there until I see a photo of you in front of either your house or a DC tourist attraction ;)

So you even visited Hoorn last Sunday?! Isola Bella by any chance? You know that's 200m from my home....but I wouldn't have been in anyway.

Enough of this. Enjoy your birthday AND your first day as a working US citizen.
