As part of our long long walk through the city we passed through Amsterdam's famous Red Light District.

Dat was een mooie wandeling, mooi weer, boeiende omgeving, goed gezelschap. Ik heb er fijne herinneringen aan. Overigens was Amsterdam er nog lang niet toen mijn geboortedorp al duizend jaar bestond. Toen de Romeinen in Velsen een haven hadden kon je in de buurt van Amsterdam alleen maar natte voeten halen.
