Eno River Festival 2007
Today I went to the Festival for the Eno River in Durham.
It's a 3-day music festival to raise money for conservation of the Eno River. I parked at the Durham stadium and a bus took me to the festival site. I walked around alone for a while and then met up with Mike.
There were a lot of different bands from the Carolinas and surrounding states. It was a very warm day, and it was great to sit in the shadow and listen to good music. I liked the performances by
Nina Violet and The Grandsons quite a lot.
The bus from the parking lot to the festival site.
The first band I saw, while enjoying my Sunday morning coffee.
Appalachian clogging. No Dutch clogs.
A combination of singing and story telling.
Eco-friendly sink for hand washing: Use Yer Foot.
A sand sculpture with the Eno's mascot, the squirrel.
A frozen banana dipped in chocolate. It was interesting but not very delicious.
A band from D.C.

Hey Guus
Ziet er leuk uit hoor, mooie bult grond in de vorm van een eekhoorn.

What an interesting activity in the summer time. Btw, Eco-friendly sink for hand washing is so cute. I wonder if Steve agree to have the sink in his kitchen.

The frozen banana was not very delicious? What an astute analysis. As I had told Guus, "Take away the chocolate and the nuts and what are you left with? A frozen banana".
