Waf waf!

This morning before we left for work Adrian was in the play pen, looking outside through the window when suddenly he yelled: "waf waf!"

And sure enough, there was someone walking a dog outside. I love how he says "waf waf", with his soft gentle voice.

When I brought Leo upstairs he started waving and saying "taaa taaa" [dag dag]. It's so much fun to see them start communicating.

Sasha & Nora are back

Sasha and Nora came back tonight -- we're complete. We all had a very special week but we're very happy to be together again.

Nora talked and talked and talked -- the time difference didn't faze her.

Haircut Leo

Sunday afternoon I brought Leo for a haircut. His hair was growing long over his ears so it was time.

Adrian's hair is still in good shape so he calmly stayed in the stroller, playing with a book, while Leo and I went to the chair. Leo was very calm and looked around with interest while his hair was being cut.

Traffic calming on 13th St

When I walked to Clarendon I looked at the roadwork on 13th St in more detail. There's going to be a large redevelopment at the Red Top Cab property and they'll reroute some of the streets.

It looks like they've started working on the storm sewer for the upgraded street, and it will dramatically narrow 13 St near Clarendon, which is great. It will make it much nicer to walk there.

So many parts of Arlington were build in the times where car was king, but thankfully there's a big push towards modernizing and narrowing those old roads.

movies

Lord of the Rings 3

I watched a movie today, the first one in over a year. The Lord of the Rings 3: Return of the King. It was great.

Sasha and I saw Part 2 in Amsterdam 13 years ago, unbelievable.

I was nice to watch it on my computer. I could skip the more boring parts, and pause the film to enjoy the gorgeous fairy tale cities and landscapes, and the fabulous large battle scenes. Fantastic heroic speeches and deeds, beautiful music, a lust for the eye.

I reread the books last year, during Sasha's pregnancy of the boys, so I knew the story lines pretty well. Still, the suspense was great and I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

Sasha & Nora to Bulgaria

Sasha and Nora are on their way to Bulgaria for a short vacation with Dyado and Baba.

Their flight was a 7.20 pm and I said goodbye to them in the afternoon.

So now we're three men in the Bosman household. Tonight we had pasta with red sauce, the boys loved it. Then we went for a walk and at 8.30 they went to sleep.

Luhkuh-luhkuh

Adrian is trying very hard to talk. We're not quite sure what he's saying but he's very passionate when he talks.

Recently he started using "luhkuh-luhkuh". It's very cute.

Listen to him here after he just woke up from his second nap.
