Tea before sleeping

Tea in Chinesee: cha3This week I've been working at home a lot. Writing goes a bit easier here sometimes than at Chess.

It made me restore an old habit: drinking tea while studying. The point is that I'm often reading in the evenings and then I don't want to drink coffee. However I forgot an old lesson, that some types of tea contain a lot of caffeine too...

Slept pretty bad; it took me an hour to fall asleep. In the style of drinking to get rid of a hang-over there's one thing giving me hope... the sound of the coffee machine.

Mind Reader

Mind reader! This is a very cool one: the Flash Mind Reader...

It looks a bit like the mind-reader from two weeks ago but it's very sophisticated: try it a couple of times and you'll be amazed!

NATO veto

Truly a brilliant move of France, Germany and Belgium to veto preparations for preparing defense for Turkey in case of a war.

References in HTML format

I'm writing my thesis in Latex, a type-setting system with a lot of useful features. One of the things I'm using now is a tool to convert the list of references I have to HTML.

See this page for an example. The nice thing is that is links to the original version of the papers I've used too.

For the fans: latest version of my paper.

"No."

Idols again

Well, has anybody been watching Idols?

I think Marieke did a pretty good job with "Walking on Sunshine" -- too bad she was so nervous. It's not new that I'm not a big fan of Jim, but I thought he did quite well this week. But then I heard Hind and it's just uncomparable... she's the best!

David has a great voice but I think he should have choosen a quicker song; his dancing would have shown then. The only performance I didn't like was Dewi's... a bit off-tune and boring if you ask me. Jamai is really a showman and he danced the best of all the candidates.Hind, Idols.

My ranking for today:

1. Hind
2. Jamai
3. Jim (!)
4. David
5. Marieke
6. Dewi
