Tuesday was a tough day at work. In the evening we watched the election results and that was great. Yesterday I was super tired but last night we all slept very well (thank you, Nora). Went for a run even though I was tempted to stay home. Was a great run. Chilly, but nice. I had the lights on front and back both working -- got the front light fixed after I dropped it in Menlo Park.

The run felt good. Nothing really hurt, haha.

We were inside all day yesterday and it was great to go for a run. Sandy thankfully didn't do a lot of damage here it seems, and except for some extra leafs the run was uneventful.

Tonight a big storm system fed by tropical storm Sandy will arrive in the DC area, so this might be the last dry run in a while. This was my first run in 6 days and I felt very strong. It was windy already.

I tried to run over the the Stanford campus because that is a beautiful place to run, but I got lost on my way and instead ran through the Palo Alto suburbs.

When I started the run I thought I could run 5 miles but I felt a bit tired so I stuck with my regular 4 miles. I think I'm fully recovered from my sore foot but I don't want to take any risks yet.

It is getting dark in the evening. I'm wearing a blinking red light on my back, and tonight I held a white blinking light in my hand. I thought it would get annoying but it wasn't too bad and it did help in traffic.

Last week I went to the doctor because of my sore left foot. He checked it out and recommended insoles and told me not to run for a week.

The insoles helped a lot, and after a few days the pain disappeared. Today it's 10 days later and I went for my first run.

The pain in my foot didn't come back but I am hyper vigilant now and nervous about every little ache or feeling. The reality is that I won't know until tonight or tomorrow if I overdid it or not.

The run was great. Took it easy with 41 minutes and the weather was excellent.

Dropje woke up at 6.30 am today and due to a busy social schedule I decided to go for a morning run.

I'm glad that I put in the 4 miles, but running in the morning does have its drawbacks. Most of all, since I just woke up my legs don't feel as great, and after this run I actually felt my left knee again (no pain, but I felt it). Also, I had to take a real break halfway. Anyway, Saturday is my next run and tonight and tomorrow night are now free for social events.

Didn't record my time since I wanted to run slowly.
